I offered these Flourless Chocolate Brownies to my son and he didn’t want to eat it because he thought it wasn’t healthy. He said, “Mom, I don’t want to eat this kind of food but thanks any way.” I said “What don’t you want to eat? Peanut Butter? Bananas? Protein Powder? Coconut Milk?” He said, “No, it’s the sugar.” I said, “There is no refined sugar in this at all!” He tasted them and was amazed! After learning about the ingredients he thought it would be great for a post workout snack and asked for more!
If I were to name this brownie with it’s true description, the name would be sooo long it wouldn’t fit on the page! I would call it a Healthy Flourless, Chocolate, Eggless, No-Sugar Added, Low fat, Gluten-Free, Vegan, Paleo, Brownie with Chopped Pecans, Chocolate Chips and Peanut Butter Chocolate Frosting! See, way too long!!
If you’re like me and get a sweet tooth calling your name so loud you can’t stand it any more and fall to the pressure of sugary snacks don’t feel alone! Happens to the best of us. Aren’t you glad there are now healthy options for all of us??? Options that make you feel like you just ate the most chocolaty brownie you’ve ever seen but feel great afterwards! That’s what I’m talking about, right??
I was searching on-line for a snack that was decadent but looked like it was pretty healthy and I found this recipe on The Big Man’s World web site and revised it a bit. He’s a young man my son’s age that has incredible decadent looking, HEALTHY snacks & desserts. So I’ve taken his recipe and put a few tweaks on it to make it a little different.
Try it you might LOVE it!!!
Just a little side note – I like to use PBfit for the peanut butter instead of regular peanut butter. It’s way less fat and sugar and not so heavy. PBfit is a powder form of peanut butter. You add water to make the amount you need. You can always use regular peanut butter if you like that better!
Flourless Chocolate Brownie with Peanut Butter Chocolate Frosting
Chocolate Brownies with Peanut Butter Chocolate Frosting

Recipe type: Gluten Free, Paleo, Vegan
- 3 ripe bananas
- 3 T Cocoa Powder unsweetened
- ¾ c. Powder PB Fit
- ½ c. water
- ½ c. pecans (optional)
- 1 Scoop of Protein Powder
- 2 T Cocoa Powder
- 3 T PB Fit peanut butter powder
- 1-4 T Coconut Milk
- Mash ripe bananas or put in blender or food processor.
- Add Cocoa Powder and mix. Set aside.
- Take powdered PB fit and ½ c. water and mix until creamy.
- Add to banana mixture and mix well.
- Add pecans or any desired chopped nuts.
- Pour into an 8 x 8 pan.
- Bake 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
- While baking make frosting.
- Take 1 scoop of Vegan Organic Protein Powder and put in bowl.
- Add 2 T of Cocoa Powder and 3 T. PB Fit peanut butter powder and mix well.
- Add Coconut Milk and stir to desired consistency.
- After brownies have cooled frost and top with additional pecans and vegan chocolate chips.
Start with Bananas
Add unsweetened Cocoa.
Add Pecans or Favorite Nuts.
If using PB Fit Peanut Butter Powder, measure dry powder. If using Regular Peanut Butter add Now. (PBFit has MUCH LESS FAT!)
Add water and mix with PB Fit Peanut Butter Powder.
Add Peanut Butter to Mixture.
Line bottom of 8 x 8 pan with parchment paper and pour batter into pan.
Bake and cut into squares with plastic knife while hot. This helps make cleaner cuts!
Frost with Chocolate Peanut Butter Frosting, YUMMM!
Top with Chopped Pecans or Favorite Topping.
And Chocolate Chips!!
Better eat them quickly before they are gone!
